Hello, Hello! Flash Fiction Friday is here again. Is it me, or are the weeks flying by lately? Geesh.

A 100 word story, picture prompt. This weeks picture was chosen by Lisa Worrall.

“What are you doing on the dresser, sweets?”

Sara crossed the sterile bedroom and sat on the rumpled bed. She looked around, taking in the empty bottles. When she glanced up at Scott, his head rested on his knees, arms locked tight. She’d never witnessed her brother so miserable.

His eyes held haunted knowledge.

Sara stood, walked to the closet and opened it.

Empty.

One man had the power to bring her brother to his knees. To put that hollow edge to his cheeks. Then she noticed the tear tracks.

“Where’s Mark?”

Scott’s will broke. “He left.”
