Hell, another week has gone by? Whew. So, how are you? Having a good year so far? I’m glad. Me too. Flash fiction is where a group of us (crazy) writer types get together and write a little story based on a picture prompt. We get 100 words. No more, no less.

So, let’s see what I can come up with this week, hm?
“I’m gonna give that prick two seconds to get his hands off my woman.” Jarrod muttered into his wine glass. He wrinkled his nose up and said in a high-pitched tone, “Don’t worry about Todd, we’ve been friends forever.”
Yea, well, his emotions were escalating to pissed. They didn’t look like just friends to him.
Ariel giggled and clutched Todd’s arm, and that was the last straw. Jarrod rushed to his feet, glanced between the two, and thought, “fuck it,” as he tossed his cognac into Todd’s lap.
“What the hell, man?”
Jarrod shrugged. “Oops.”

In his lap, he dumped his drink in the guy’s lap? Wow, I expected it to be in the face or on his head, but in the lap? Honestly, it seems like a waste of some good booze. I’m thinking he should have just bitch-slapped Todd. Oh well, now he has an excuse to rub Todd’s crotch with a towel.
