“I can’t help it. It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”
“Well, now I don’t think that’s exactly true now, darlin’ is it?”
“Of course it is! What do you mean?”
“Uh. Nuttin’ of course. Shh. There now. You’ll be alright.”
“I’ll never be alright! Never! I can’t believe she did that to me. I won’t forgive her. Ever.”
“Your momma meant well, sweets. Really she did.”
“Oh I bet she did. I’m the laughing stock of the entire town now. God I hate her.”
