My Confessions (8) Let’s get Inked ~ Tattoo

It is Wednesday, and I’m trying to get back into the swing of things. My Confessional this week is about Tattoo’s.

I have three Tattoo’s and plans for more. Do you have any? Love or hate them? Do you judge those who do have them?

Most Tattoo’s are deeply personal, though not all. My very first tat is a Sun with a Moon inside, I got it on my 18th Birthday, on my right shoulder blade. I have always loved the Sun and Moon designs, and I liked it. I also have two Daisy’s on my lower back (Aka, Tramp Stamp <sigh> I didn’t know that at the time!!) When I had that one inked, it didn’t have much meaning, but since my grandmother passed away in 2008, I attribute it to her, as Daisy’s were her favorite flower.

I just got my third Tattoo on this past Friday. It’s a Huge Sun and Moon Yin Yang. Full of color. It’s beautiful but Oh My Fucking Gosh, it still hurts and it’s 5 days later.

I’ll post pictures when it’s done healing. It’s quite flaky at the moment. I can post a picture from when it was JUST done, but it’s very shiny from the medicine they put on it. It takes up my whole calf.

*sighs* That’s one of my biggest regret. My parents forbidden me to get a tat, and I obeyed…. Now, maybe I could have one (in fact, I’m planning to) but hubby is not very happy about it. So I have to “work” him every single day… just for him to get used to see a tattooed me…
Needless to say I suppose that I LOVE tats!!

Funny you should mention the tramp stamp. That is actually the only one I have at the moment. I had my first book published in March 2011 and it just so happens that it was about a doctor and why she decided to get a tramp stamp. I’ve wanted to get a tattoo for the longest time and when I submitted it I thought if this gets accepted it would be fitting that the design my character got would be my first tattoo. Did I mention that I actually designed the tattoo? I will be getting at least one possibly two this summer when I go to visit my family because my brother-in-law is the one who did my first one and I’ll be seeing him. Yours looks beautiful, btw. Thanks for sharing. I always find it interesting to hear the reasons behind why someone decided to get a particular design.

Love the new tat E.R. i have 6 i got my 1st one when i was 23 it’s a moon and heart . I got it when my sister was having her 6th child! And i have butterfly on my chest,flower on my arm,rose and heart on my back and a huge one my lleg about where urs is and yes it hurt! (lol) and i have one on the back of my neck,so i guess you can say that i like them

I love tattoos. I have eight of them. I got my first (a dragon on my ankle) because my sister got one and said I needed to get one too. I was hooked after that. I have a Kenji on the back of my neck. A unicorn on my chest, A Wicca knot on my shoulder, A unfinished trampstamp, Two Celtic knots. one my left forearm and one on my hand and a dragon on my right inner forearm. And a small quarter moon behind my left ear…oh, wait, that’s nine! Obviously, I’m obsessed with them, and yes, each and all mean something to me! I’ve not gotten one quite as large (or colorful) as yours, but it’s only a matter of time and finances before I do! I have several planned out and will most certainly be getting one at GRL.
